Famous Faces Friday – Jeb Bush

It’s not often that you get to meet a former governor, so when Tony and Jen Casler, Soundwave Productions’ co-owner were invited to meet Jeb Bush, and they were honored to attend! Jeb Bush and former First Ladies Barbara and Laura Bush were attending an event in Naples, Florida promoting reading and Soundwave was invited to attend.

It was a great night, we had a lot of fun and got to meet some of our nation’s leading politicians and dignitaries. It was an honor to be invited.

The Governor at Pepin Academy

Fresh from signing his first major piece of legislation since taking office,Governor Rick Scott spoke at the Pepin Academy in Tampa today, Soundwave provided sound and light support.

Drape and Up Lighting Tranform a Room

Sometimes you have the almost perfect venue for your event, but there are some things you would like to tweak. That’s where some well placed drape and up lighting can help you transform a room to exactly what you envision and make your venue absolutely perfect. Let’s show you how Soundwave can help…

Here we have a great venue in Safety Harbor, Fl. It’s the right size for a reception or luncheon, but it LOOKS a little too generic. This is what it looks like without any draping or up lighting.

Let’s begin with this image from the room. There is nothing wrong with this the tables are dressed and beautiful and the cake has a prominent position and looks great, but notice how it get “lost” in the room with the alcove behind it. We CAN move the cake under the alcove and position it differently, but we will lose it under the over-hang. How can we bring the focus of the room to the wedding cake? The answer is some simple pipe and drape. And this is what it will look like:

Not only did we bring the focus on the room to the cake, we also added some LED up lighting to change the color of the entire wall. We can also use LED lights to bring in some dramatic color all along the walls and in the corners as well.

These are just some simple fixes to tweak whatever room you have and want to transform into the perfect venue. We can also use custom gobos (Go Before Optics) that we can splash a logo or monogram for your event to add another level of personalization to your party.

Famous Faces – Bobby Jindal

It’s not very day that you get to meet someone famous. And it’s not every day that you meet a famous author. And it’s also not every day that you meet someone who’s not only one of 50 governors in the USA, but also a prime candidate for the White House in the not too distant future. But on this rare occasion, Tony and the Soundwave crew did all of that, with only ONE PERSON: Governor Bobby Jindall.

Bobby Jindall is the governor for the great state of Louisiana, and has seen his state survive treacherous times: hurricanes, oil spills, not to mention the eroding economy, but Gov. Jindall has helped guide Louisiana through. And on this day, he was in Florida to speak to a rally for (soon to be) Governor Rick Scott.

The event was held in a private airplane hangar and Soundwave was brought in to provide sound and lighting for this amazing event. Not only did we get to again meet Rick Scott and his running mate Jennifer Carroll, but we got to snag this moment with Governor Jindall. he was gracious and very friendly, and a really superb representation of the great people of Louisiana!

Famous Faces – Gracia Burnham

While celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary at Dos Palmas Resort off Palawan Island, Gracia and Martin Burnham were kidnapped on May 27, 2001, by the Abu Sayyaf Group, a militant group of Muslims. They seized several more guests and took them to Basilan Island, an ASG stronghold. On June 7, 2002, in a firefight between the Philippine military and the Abu Sayyaf Group, Martin was killed. Gracia was wounded, but was freed. Since that time Gracia has authored two books, In The Presence Of My Enemies, and To Fly Again, and has traveled all over the United States and the world discussing her life and missions across the world.

This past week, Gracia was the key note speaker at a Missions Conference here in Tampa, and Soundwave had the pleasure of spending some time and chatting with her as well as provided the sound and video support for the event. Ms. Burnham was even gracious enough to let us grab a photo with her!

Soundwave and the State of the State

Governor of Florida, Rick Scott delivered his first ever State of the state address yesterday in Tallahassee. It was a historical speech as well as difficult. But as the Governor stepped up to the podium to the applause, it was Soundwave’s teleprompters that helped his deliver his State of the state address.
