A Word of Thanks
On this day, the entire Soundwave Family would like to say “thank you” to all those who have served and sacrificed so that we can remain free. Freedom is never without a cost, and those brave men and women our our Armed Forces pay that price with their dedication and service, and many times, with their lives.
Today, we honor and remember that sacrifice and pay tribute to them. It is because of these self-less acts of heroism that we can live and work in the greatest country in the world. Thank you and God bless America!

Who’s Towing Who?
This past weekend, Soundwave was asked to provide a portable power generator in Georgia. We dotted our “I”s and crossed out “T”s, but there was ONE LITTLE THING that slipped past us….
The good news is that our trust van was MORE than up for the job. The trailer was delivered, connected, worked well, and was returned all within 12 hours!!
Soundwave is your local electricity provider, either across the street or across the country, we can handle all your power needs. We just can’t guarantee that our delivery method will be as funny as this past weekend!

Famous Faces – Johnny Bench
if you are a baseball fan, like we all are, then this famous face needs no introduction… Hall of Famer Johnny Bench!
According to JohnnyBench.com,
Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in January 1989, Bench is undoubtedly the greatest catcher ever as stated by the Sporting News in late 1998, in which Johnny was named the 16th greatest player of all time – His successes include National League Rookie of the Year (1968), National League Most Valuable Players (1970 & 1972), World Series MVP (1976), 14-time All-Star, and 10 Gold Gloves. In 1980, Bench set an endurance record by catching 100 or more games for 13 consecutive seasons. Then, in 1999 Johnny received baseball’s esteemed honor of selection to the All Century Tearn on October 24.
When Soundwave took part in the National Sailfish Competition in Key West, FL, we had no idea that we would be able to meet Johnny, and it was a pleasure, privilege, and honor!

One of the most popular fundraisers in the Tampa Bay Area is the Silverspoons and Sandcastles event.
Conquering the Yeti
This past Saturday, Tony, Jen, and John from Soundwave took part in the Expedition Everest Challenge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. The Expedition Everest Challenge is 5K run, Obstacle Course, and Scavenger Hunt all rolled into one event. It’s an annual event that Walt Disney World hold each year, and this year Soundwave not only conquered the Yeti, they also helped out a great cause.
When Disney holds an athletic event like this, proceeds usually go to one of several non-profits around the world, and this year’s Expedition Everest Challenge helped out the The International Snow Leopard Trust, a non-profit that has been working to protect the endangered snow leopard since 1981. Did you know that there are only 3,500-7,000 snow leopards left in the wild?
Some of the Soundwave runners had not been running in a long time, but were ready to take on the task! They ran around the parking lot and throughout the theme park, jumping over tires and hay bales and crawling over rope walls and under rope netting. And that was only the first part! After all that, everyone headed BACK into Animal Kingdom to begin the scavenger hunt! It was fun, exciting, and tiring! But the best part of the night was being able to ride Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids at night. Those attractions are amazingly different under the stars!
Congratulations to John, Tony, and Jen on conquering the Challenge as well as helping out the snow leopards. May you would like to take the Challenge next year? Let us know and we can secure you place in the Expedition Everest Challenge, and you can try to tame the elusive Yeti…if you dare!!

“We flew right from Des Moines and our announcement today to this event, so this is the first event I’ve had in my campaign,” Pawlenty said to about 70 supporters.
